Community guidelines

Bottled is built on friends winding each other up. That’s the point. But a forfeit is something a real person has to actually do, and a video is of a real person doing it — so there are limits, and they don’t bend because a league voted for it.
The one rule
A dare should be embarrassing, not harmful. If doing it could get someone hurt, arrested, fired, or genuinely humiliated, it’s over the line — no matter how funny it sounded when you nominated it.
Not allowed

| Dangerous | Anything risking injury — heights, traffic, extreme cold or heat, dangerous quantities of food or alcohol. |
| Illegal | Trespassing, theft, drugs, drink-driving, anything you’d have to break the law to film. |
| Targeted abuse | Dares or comments aimed at someone’s race, religion, sexuality, gender, disability or appearance. |
| Involving strangers | Anything that makes an unwitting member of the public part of the joke. |
| Someone else’s content | Only upload video of yourself, or of people who agreed to be filmed. |
Alcohol
Bottled has nothing to do with drinking. Dares involving alcohol are not what the app is for, and anything encouraging heavy or competitive drinking will be removed.
Reporting
Anything can be reported from inside the app:
- A video — tap Report while watching it.
- A comment — press and hold it.
- A dare — tap Flag on the vote screen. Two flags take a dare off the ballot automatically, before anyone has to do it.
Reports are private. The person you report is never told who reported them.
Blocking
You can block any member from the report screen. You’ll stop seeing their videos and comments. Blocking is one-directional and private — they aren’t notified.
What we do about it
- We review every report.
- Content that breaks these guidelines is removed.
- Repeat offenders lose their account.
- Anything involving a minor, credible threats, or illegal content is removed immediately and may be passed to the authorities.
Leagues are private
There is no public feed. Everything you post is visible only to the members of the league you posted it in. That’s deliberate — but it means the league polices itself, and these guidelines apply just as much inside a group of six mates as they would in public.
